Sending Jiricek down? Thought this year was about development
Jiricek going back to Cleveland. That roster is so good right now. If I lived up in Cleveland I’d be going to a bunch of those games

Last month timeline for David Jiricek:
– Recalled from Cleveland when Zach Werenski went on IR
– Played well enough for the team to decide to keep him on the active roster when Werenski came back
– Former first round pick Liam Foudy was waived and claimed by Nashville to make room
– Jiricek plays a 10th game, starting his ELC, and is told to “get a place” in Columbus
– Healthy scratched despite being told he “doesn’t deserve” to come out of the lineup
– Sent down to Cleveland
I really, really don’t understand this organization sometimes.
I hope this is a jolt to the team. We need something for sure.
I am thinking they can’t get Jiricek in the line up this second, sent him to Cleve to get some ice time whilst showcasing peeke and boqvist right now to facilitate a trade, probably explained that to Jiri and to go win some games in Cleve for the mean time while the deets of a trade get worked out ( I am totally projecting what I hope happened lol) I don’t think he is going to be down there that long
There’s some Defence musical chairs about to start league-wide (Toronto, Edmonton and Clagary all need help) which hopefully will jump start the calls to Jarmo to help clear the logjam on our blue line.
Jiricek will be back before long.
