After the crummy start to the season, I feel pretty comfortable to say we’re finally seeing the reap start to Spencer Carberrys Washington Capitals. Its a team of accountability, fun and effort. Its a team I see a future in. Its a team thats doing much better than the penguins. And thats truly all that matters.

Man, it’s so good to have Dowd back. One of the most underrated leaders on this team. When he gets going, he seems to drag the whole bottom-6 with him.
Shepard was excellent too. Funny to hear Locker throw the Don Beaupre comparisons out there, because Shep’s mask immediately makes me think of him whenever I see that mask. Glad to see him looking more and more composed with the Caps squad in front of him too.

We officially sit 3rd in the metro. To say this team has come a long way is an understatement. I’m glad we are giving the younger guys a better shot under HCSC. Obviously finding their game in the NHL takes time, especially when seen little ice time in the past (totally not shade to a former coach).
