Not convinced Lambert knows what to do but what’s going to fix the fact that this team doesn’t know how to finish the chances they generate? They’ve been inept at doing that going back to Trotz.

Wow, almost like everything I said about this team over the past summer was correct. Their old, lacking speed, skill and quality coaching. They also notoriously struggle in the month of November. This should not be surprising to anyone. Nothing will change until lamoriello is the one who gets fired.
My hot take conspiracy theory is that Lamoriello isn’t going to fire Lambert because another coach won’t be able to save the season and the results will be on his head. If that happens then ownership would be forced to look in his direction and then he wouldn’t be able to push his son into the GM position through sheer nepotism. He’ll wait until the end of the season and say that he missed on the coach. He’ll then step aside while giving his son the GM gig while stating that the GM should get to pick the next coach and ownership will cluelessly sign off on everything.
On the bright side ticket prices plummeting, time to bring the family
