Love Gaudette, do not trade him
Gaudette isn't young at 24. He is what he is. He's not strong on the puck, he doesn't win puck battles, and he's not a legitimate 3rd line Centre that can take draws and be valuable on the PK.

Honestly, I think Jimbo was waiting to capitalize on Gaudette's trade value. I know, I know he should have done it last season. But imagine the trade value if Gaudette produced, even more, this season? I bet you that was Jimbo's plan.

Keep Gaudette, but move him to the wing
Trading in Canada would not be smart for the Canucks. They will only trade player for player which in my mind you would get less in return. Trade to the states and you can get picks. Time to unload contracts. Hamonic and Hughes would be the only defensemen I would keep the rest could go. I do not see Bailey playing on this team. He is healthy now and no talk of him playing. I like Beagle, but he is old and slow. Sutter is good defensively and wins faceoffs. Both have some value so they might get some picks. I think we are stuck with Roussel and Loui. I think the older players create more problems than the younger players. Sentiment holds teams back.

Hamonic's value is greatly decreased. Also, Benning gets alot of heat in this market, and rightfully so, but Aquilini imo, deserves as much if not more. He's content with mediocrity and doesn't want to risk what it takes to build a true cup contending team.
Why would any eastern team try to pluck out Hamonic… Dude practically held out until he got traded in western canada.
This should be very worrysome to any fanbase to have such poor proscout department.
