Phaenuf succeeded on that, twice
Keep politics out of sports. Very simple.
The ON ICE product should not be politicized nor socialized. People are getting tired of cause after cause after cause.
We'll miss you, Mark! Good luck on your future endeavours!
Don't change the draft!
"keep politics out of sports" Support for pride ISNT POLITICS, ITS BASIC DECENCY. referring to it as politics is so incredibly disingenuous…
So interesting to see how the Sens deal with Pinto. I think right now, the odd man out is Kubalik. Joseph is playing his best hockey right now. Kastelic could also be be an option at 1M.
The problem with the Pride Tape is social media. If four players don’t use the tape, the Rainbow Mafia comes for them.
These are professional athletes. It would be incredibly easy to host a Pride Event away from the barn or arena.
Why is everyone overthinking this?
Also, the Pride tape manufacturer has inserted himself into this. Conflict much?
I was at the Oil game Saturday. The D is atrocious right now. Along w brutal goaltending. I wouldn’t wait for a 2-7-1 start to panic.
the podcast is not the same without Amil Delic producing…..i miss the balance of music and hockey talk….
So… Brock Boeser scores 4 goals and gets no love in the 10 second Canuck v Oiler rout shoutout? Sad.
For the love of God, enough of this pride bullshit. Celebrating the gsy mafia has no place in hockey.
I was very vocal about players being almost forced to wear the pride jerseys and criticized if they chose not to. Im all for freedom of speech. It should be the players choice either way. I do not support something that you do not believe in, being forced on you.
From my eyes, the reason that the pride stuff was banned was because the league is trying to avoid a poop storm from the media if one player decides he doesn't want to wear it. With Provorov and the flyers, ONE player chose not to wear the jersey. The entire team was wearing them, many of them very enthusiastic about it. Instead of choosing to cover the entire team as a positive, they chose to drag Provorov through the mud for not wanting to. Acting like he's a monster for not doing so….which is wrong. Just like banning pride tape and jerseys, which is also wrong. Let those who want to wear them do so. Let those who don't not. And stop dog piling on the people that don't.
Keep your sexuality out of sport ? Simple much.
Jesus. An entire war going on, and all I seem to keep hearing about is goddamn pride tape.
This whole thing is pretty simple: You want to wear it, go ahead. But dont force other players to bend the knee to your beliefs.
Put it to bed.
Let’s be honest here. The NHL is trying to avoid fans becoming disgruntled over woke culture. We are all sick of this woke garbage. It’s a sport. Play hockey and shut the f*ck up.
Thank you for addressing the pride tape; this is very hurtful. Issue and cancer is inexcusable
This woke bullshit wherein every minority piece of idiocy is promoted via some form of visible support. Hockey used to be a bastion of simplicity…a name, a number on the jersey and get on with the GAME !!!! the GAME being the important part of that statement. This numbnutted garbage of entertaining every deviation from male and female genders is just too much crap for true "HOCKEY FANS"…. how did we get into signages, displays of (perverse) alliance etc. in a HOCKEY ARENA. I'll tell you this …ITS JUST ANOTHER signature move by the government to divide and differenciate people…. Hockey from its roots was and still should be ABOUT THE GAME, ABOUT SKILL ABOUT ENTERTAINMENT…. in absence of political social woke views. KISS Keep It Simple Sammy!!!
