Forsling looks like a fool. Stolarz not at fault for the fact the team wasn't ready to play. Not enough finish on this team is a huge problem. It was obvious in play-offs, didn't get better. This team lacks edge and grit: I think they need to make a choice between Lundell and Luostarinen and make trade.
Panthers had their chance in the finals and blew it.
Unacceptable game.

Defense sucked – Stolarz sucked – Offense sucked MOST!!! NO LIFE. Its not that we lost but HOW we lost. What the F happened to this team? they're not playing heavy forechecking and they're not playing run and gun. I don't know what you would call this. This is my main gripe with Maurice… his "defensive" system is outdated, not creative or fun, and leads to injured players on top of it. This is an offensive-driven league… and we HAD that down pat – your not gonna win it all the first time you win a playoff series in decades – a good team has to learn to lose together before they can win. I miss the Q system – at least that was fun to watch. This is the same thing that happened to the Panthers after they went to the final in 1996, they switched coaches, they switched systems, they wanted to get "bigger – stronger" and look what happened to them. This is history repeating itself. We had a winning formula and we jettisoned it. I have news for everyone, if we would've stuck with the Q/Bruno system, and still made the Tkachuk trade, I think we would have possibly won the cup by now. I don't care that Maurice ALMOST won (twice) – almost doesn't count in sports, especially hockey. Does anyone remember who almost won the Stanley Cup three years ago? Five years ago? EXACTLY. For the record., I never wanted Zito to hire this guy. I would've taken anyone but him. He's old school and that is not what we need. He sucked the creativity and life out of this team and it's showing on the ice. They do not look like they are having fun. I guarantee you Maurice is gone after this year or next. If I was Zito, I would man up and admit my mistake – he has hit on everything he's done with this organization except this. This team feels cursed…. ^ screams alone in silence ^.

as an addendum – the reason we average five goals a game during the Presidents trophy season is because it was an offensive system we were playing., not this outdated "defense" crap,.
also, people act like we're a lock to make the playoffs – I would not be shocked to see the team miss the playoffs. Honestly, I would rather see us miss the playoffs and get healthy than make the playoffs and get knocked out in the second or third round or have guys get hurt again.
It’s only one game. No need to freak out. We have been playing good games against strong teams and dropped the puck last night. It’s not like we have to trade half the roster overnight.
I thought Balinskis played really well last night as a positive. And yeah I almost want them to trade Carlsson at this point if they aren’t going to ever play him so his career can get going in the league somewhere else and we could get someone they would actually play. I agree with Stu, Mahura looks pretty rough so far, especially last night. He needs to work on his skating which is hard for players in the league to change, I think it took Verhaeghe several seasons to get to where he is now.

Can't blame stolarz when the entire team was bad the 1st period. Stolarz made some big saves after the 1st period and the rest of the team finally showed up,it was just out of reach by then. Doormats not being doormats is common so far this year. Typical panthers debbie downers are beginning to show up after a game or 2. Also need to face facts that Bennett is unreliable as a foundational piece to the team,he misses too many games due to injuries. Find a guy that plays his style and can stay on the ice. GO Cats.

What if this is who Tkachuk is like this is who he really is and last year was just an anomaly! How the flames fans complain about Huberdeau and we say oh that is who Huberdeau is this might be who Tkachuk is, and that’s what the flames are telling us that who is who he is and last season was a fluke
