I've been on a Lane Lambert watch since last week..
'FI-RE LOU, FI-RE LOU, FI-RE LOU…' chants should begin now. At least isles got no lead to blow vs. caps. Don't even know what to say anymore. 21, 29, 18 line has dried up just like i said it would. No other line can score as varly after consecutive shut outs has struggled last two. This offense will continue to be a detriment-gf now 29th. Goaltending can steal a few games for isles. Not enough to save them and overcome this shitty offense. And isle next opponent oil just fired woodcroft. Kyboshed by holland's shitty cap management and failure to find secure goaltending. Now mcd gets to play for his ohl otter coach knoblach who also coached cat there and were a 4 year force under kk. Take the hint lame ass. You are next. Even though louzer set lame up to fail and will can him to save his wrinkled old ass. And look closely-isles have third fewest pts. in east now. Even old pens and caps have passed them. And another trend. Isles lose second game to team they beat-see: caps/sabres. That means teams can adjust easily and beat isles with no scorers/scoring line to worry about. Thats what happens when third liners like 18 charade as second liners, 13/14 underutilized without goal scorer, and lee is a lost cause albatross lou is loyal to. That is a sign of weak coaching. Its a twofold problem-isles need a clean break from both. And oil will be fired up mon. vs. isles after coaching change. With western canada/kraken trip coming now is where we'll see things. Isles will struggle to score goals. Oil/flames will wake up with isles coming in. It wont be much longer for lame-better hope isles get 4 pts. to save lame.
Islanders seem like they are trying to be Devils from 1995 not built for 2025 or even the Kings from 2012. Lowest Scoring Team in East letting Capitals surpass them who had like 24 Goals until playing them and Devils. Team can't score or win with current roster. They make almost every single goalie get a Quality Start without any I can recall having a RBS Really Bad Start as they have these advanced stats. I'd try to trade Pelech as can't pay guy 6M who never had 30 point season cant' score 10 to 20 goals is injury prone. Sorokin or Varly if not both are going to have to get traded as well to free up cap space this year or next. Lee that 7M contract is just part of the problem with 8.5M on Bo then over 9M for Barzal. All of them have in common they can't score 30 goals or 40 or 50. Assist don't matter. Lou is bigger problem than Lane so meh :).
