  1. And credit where credit is due – your crush Pettersson has played terrific lately. 👏👏👏

  2. It looks as if the chemistry throughout the entire team is ramping up? For the most part every player is doing his job better as time progresses. Always listening DK.

  3. I still don’t understand why there are back to back games in the nhl when there’s so many games 3 -4 days apart.
Scheduling algorithms must not work, I’m guessing

  4. As much as I have no problem bringing up players who do stupid things that typically get overlooked because they are fan favorites or star players, I also will give credit where and when its due when others may tamper enthusiasm. For instance, the bad angle Malkin backhand goal that deflected once or twice before crossing the line, was not "lucky" like the broadcast crew and others said. It was a goal that goal scorers like Malkin score and other generally 'unlucky' players don't. If Mario did that same thing, people would never use the word lucky to describe it, and would more likely assume he planned it. Why? Because it's Mario and he earned benefit of the doubt. I'm not saying Malkin knew it would deflect into the net the way it did, but he sure knew putting it there could lead potentially to something good, and it did.

And this lack of benefit of the doubt is why he gets overlooked as a top 100 player in the league today. People – even general fans of him – don't want to admit he's actually that good. Gotta be a fluke, right? Maybe there's some subliminal brain cramp people have to not give him the credit he has earned. Could be a deep seeded anti-Russian thing, maybe it's thinking he's not the brightest bulb because he comes off as goofy sometimes and says things that translate badly in interviews, or maybe it's both, but he's still worthy of more respect than he gets and his accomplishments shouldn't be downplayed as fortunate or even lucky.

That said, every time he takes a dumb penalty, makes a bad pass, or lets his emotions get him and the team into trouble, I'll be right here to point that out as well. 😉
