James Van Riemsdyk clipped Mo Seider in the head as he tried to sneak by. He got a minor penalty for interference.

  1. The hit is to the head with high arms. The argument that the opponent has his head down does not hold as Moritz Seider never touches the puck.

  2. It's a penalty regardless of whether he intentionally interfered with Seider or not. He made contact with the head, actively. Interference is the lesser of two possible calls. I'm a 34 year old beer league hockey player, and I PROMISE you, contact could have been completely avoided WITH EASE. This contact has intent.
