  1. Hey Casey can I chant Fire Lambert yet.

    #FIRE LAMBERT

  2. DrTurtles

Anybody know where to find our 3rd period goal differential this year? It ain’t pretty, this is the 6th of the last 7 that we’ve blown it in the third.

    **Fire Lane Lambert**

  3. I said it in the pre game thread…please let this L be the reason we move on from Lane.

  4. lazyblogger914

The ass fuckery coming from Vancouver is going to be fugly.

  5. Man, this just sucks. We had two great years, two years where we took the obvious best team in the league through their toughest tests before winning their cups.

And we came out of those ECFs thinking that the talent could carry us. That Trotz wasn’t the most important part of that success.

The Isles may have been playing “boring” hockey, but at least they were doing it as an accountable, single unit. Nobody wanted to play the Islanders, especially in the playoffs.

I don’t know what it is. On paper we aren’t terrible, the team isn’t that different from those that made those conference finals. We were so close to the cup finals, and now we’re here.

Coach is a dead man walking.

I think he gets fired Monday when the team gets back to New York. If not then, immediately after Thanksgiving.

Either way, he doesn’t see Christmas. I’m not even sure it’s Lane’s fault entirely or if he deserves to be fired, but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It’s the quickest and easiest fix.

  7. therealchrisredfield

Forget staying home, a couple more losses like that im going to stop watching all together

  8. GiantTeddyGraham

Hey Casey you’re getting your wish – your shit ass team isn’t worth paying to see

  9. Academic-Brush-7797

Well Casey, if the team is gonna stay home, we fans will join you. I’m done supporting this country club team with my money when it’s giving us shit while insisting it’s gold.

  10. RelativeAltruistic54

I’m praying we don’t get the sharks treatment from Vancouver

  11. rolltribe

I was optimistic going into the year but this team is in major trouble. It’s not even that they’re losing, it’s how

  12. LameBicycle

In previous years, I could write off our poor scoring or ineffective power play and at least be happy about exceptional goaltending and solid defense. At this point in the season, I don’t see anything this team can pride itself on. It’s not like a misfire on one cylinder. This is like a broken timing chain on an interference engine.

  13. GiantTeddyGraham

So who’s funding the billboard this time?

  14. spanini21

I expect the arena to be empty first game back after this road trip against the Flyers. This team is so inept.

  15. nosferaatu61

Blaming Lane is cope, this roster is genuinely bad

  16. Chrismercy

I remember when Komarov was the only player playing with a monkey on his back looking for a goal. Now the whole team is playing in the planet of the apes.

  17. Makeouthiillxxx

Teams a joke and they seem content with just losing, is anyone awake in the front office?

  18. priester85

That was Clutterbuck’s worst game since pre-Barry Trotz. He has to spend some time in the press box. You can even tell which wing he is playing; he just goes from side to side hitting players as/after they dish the puck away. He was on for both PP goals and the first one he was not only way out of position, but he knocked Pelech down trying to scramble back to where he should’ve gone right off the draw.

  19. Team is awful can’t kill a penalty to save its life. The team is now boring and bad a terrible combination. We are locked into some long contracts with players I don’t truly believe in. Lou needs to go and so does Lane.

  20. turbulentcounselor

It’s a rough time to be an isles fan. Fully prepared to become the laughing stock of the NHL this season.

Hopefully this means Lane will be gone. And we have a golden opportunity with Woodcroft being available. Ideally we get rid of Lou too but Lane seems more realistic.

  21. ArtisticBarracuda430

Forget Lane, if Lou is allowed to continue to manage this franchise it’s going to be another dark decade for Islanders hockey. No one wants to hear this but this team needs at minimum a retool and to move on from a lot of the current roster. We need to start building up the farm system for once and maybe then we can have a sustainable franchise

  22. Correct-Local3240

We have a minor league coach and a bottom 5 team as far as goal scoring skill/talent. This is going to get ugly fast sadly. Who would’ve thought running it back wouldn’t have us in first place? Oh also f**k casey cizikas

  23. KostinhaTsimikas

Our players are fucking pathetic. Sure, the coaches are dogshit, and I’m certain they’ve set a horrible standard and environment, but if you’re a pro player, this level of performance is embarrassing. If you can’t find the drive to at least *look like* you give a shit, you need to do some serious self-reflection.

As for Lambert- it’s hard to see this team getting results on this road trip, but if we come back to NY worse than 3/4, his ass needs to be on the chopping block. The season is still salvageable, so I’d rather take a chance on a new guy than running this donkey out through the season.
