OVECHKIN HAS THE WEIRDEST PRE GAME ROUTINE IN THE LEAGUE
Corwin joins the Leafs pregame before the Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game on October 24th, 2023, to discuss a weird thing he has noticed about Alexander Ovechkin’s pre-game routine.
The weirdest I've seen came from the WHL. Hopefully Connor Geekie keeps it into the NHL. But at the end of warmups Connor would hang out, just outside the bench, waiting to be the last guy off the ice. When it was just him left, he would drop to one knee and fire a puck at the net. From this he would skat the the gate at the bench turn around and walk backwards through the bench and back into the dressing room hall. It was pretty surreal to watch and watch backwards. Not sure what started it.
