Nhl highlights 2023 – Ottawa senators vs toronto maple leafs was a close back and forth, but then the sens took control and never gave it back. I don't mind the praise for the Sens but really Toronto has gone for a complete dump so it's no great achievement to beat them really. I mean Mathews didn't get his nightly hat trick and that's no guaranteed W anyways lol.

Love Giroux. Wish Oilers had managed cap better to make an offer. Olympic gold medalist and carried flyers with Carter and Richards to the 2010 finals. Those Flyers/ Penguins series from the early 2010s were some of the best playoff hockey games.
So sad the Flyers traded him. Love hes seeing success, just sucks its not in the Black and Orange. Miss you G!

All I know is, the whole nhl is down bad right now. From every angle
Sens just need to get healthy and then determine if Smith is sticking around. They just allowed 5 goals by the Canucks so his defensive system just doesnt seem to work. Sogard has been stellar so far in the AHL, so more help in net is on the way at least(Korps and Forsberg aren't the long term solution)

G should be considered in the same company as Ovi, Sid, Malkin, etc. He was completely weighted down with some bum rosters in Philly. For about a 5 season run, he had more points than all of those other players
Giroux is just so unbelievably crafty and sneaky, the stuff I see him pull off is like nothing else anyone gets away with. Someone needs a highlight package of it (after he retires, don't want the word getting out yet) so more people can realize.
Gotta love a vet like giroux supporting the neck guard. My 10 year old randomly decided to try hockey this year with 0 hockey experience and to show him vets like this wearing them means so much

I've loved Giroux coming to Ottawa since day 1. Even if he's older, people seem to forget that he was one of the big guys in Philly when they were fighting with Crosby and Malkins dynasty in Pittsburgh… And he was always a player who stood out for his overall skill and game knowledge. If you can compete with Crosby and your game isn't built on some form of physical dominance, I think you have a good chance of performing well into your 30s.
