Loving this offense instigated through strong defense mindset that the pens seem to have lately. We’ve been the ones capitalizing on other teams failure to convert in the offensive zone instead of us being the ones failing to convert and paying the price like the first couple games
And to think they there were Yinzers that really believed they were better off with Trochek than Malkin back during Free Agency in 2022 hahaha. I've been saying for a while how criminal it is that Geno has been so underrated to the point of disrespect. I've seen him make plays over the years that Crosby has never made. When Geno's on, there are times there aren't any players in the league better than him (2009 Stanley Cup Finals, 2012 Hart Trophy Season, early parts of 2015-2016 when they whole team including Crosby was struggling).

the puck support during this win streak has been great. been so fun to watch. geno is playing a 200' game and letang has totally changed his role.
I really think they need to put Rakell next to Crosby and give Rust time with Malkin and Smith. And if Rakell continues to not score for a few games, then it may be time to look for a trade.
Also, I know this isn't locked on the oilers, and I'm 100% a penguins fan, but does anyone else think it's odd that Connor McDavid has no goals in like 8 games?
Amost nowhere online is there any talk about how his injury earlier this season could be plaguing him. Which I think is the case.
He doesn't look like himself at all. And that really sucks for hockey.

Sidney Crosby is having a good year so far, and that is something to be grateful for. We only have so many year of Crosby left. There's no more time to take him for granted anymore and say, well, there's always next year. His time is now. Behold the legend!!!
Lack of odd man rushes against leads to less goals against and more wins. I'd be happy with a 2 and 2 record this week. Hoping for 3 and 1 week. Should beat columbus. Hopefully beat the devils with 2 of their stars out but i dont think they can win the back to back this weekend. 2 really good teams they play.
