Loved what i saw tonight. The boys did great in the third, looked like themselves for the most part. didn't like that crosscheck that Draisaitl did to the back of the islander players legs. hopefully nothing comes from that.
An excellent effort both offensively and defensively including goaltending should bring a sigh of collective relief for the Oilers management, the players and their fans. Let's keep it up!
Much needed win. Coaching may have settled the team but have not been here long enough to really make it their team. Let’s hope the wins continue. Thanks for the update

So, in my honest opinion that third period was one of the Oilers best periods this year. They looked they were playing real hockey, almost playoff hockey. If they just photoshop that period and rinse and repeat.
The one thing already that this coach is doing that Woodcroft messed up terribly was keeping the lines consistent. And keeping the players fresh. Draisatl was flying in the third. Kane looked great! They were grinding, hitting a bit, playing decent in their own end. Skinner with better defensive play got some confidence.
Just a great third period.
Draisatl now 19 points? or 18, top 15 in the league so catching up quick now with momentum.
I like all the communication and interaction with the players Not only did the D look better but the commitment from the forwards getting back and recognizing the importance of protecting the slot areas and keeping everything to the outside also the forward did a much better job supporting the D allowing the D to make short passes to get out of trouble instead of using the boards which does not work in the league anymore the other teams D does too good of a good sealing the walls
I watched the press conference when they introduced the two. I must say Coffey is all business. When he speaks d-men are gonna listen, how could they not!
Thank you jesus these last two games the opponents didn't play their backup. It's a curse. Oil chase good goalies, then make backups look like vezina finalists.
