Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes are now first and second in NHL points, and Connor McDavid was held pointless. Head coach Jay Woodcroft also got ejected.

When talking about the point leaders, just allow me to say:
1. E.Pettersson- 21 points in 12 games, right, but take away Edmonton (3 games), San Jose, and St Louis = 12 points from those 5 games, now he's 9 points in 7 games;
2. Q. Hughes: 20 points in 12, Same teams deducting equals 15 points, 7 games and Q.H. has 5 points;
3. J T Miller: 18 points in 12, Same teams deducting, equals 12 points, 7 games equals 6 points;
4. B Boeser: 15 points in 12 games, same teams deducting equals 4 points in 7 remaining games;
5. F Hronek: 13 points in 12, same teams deducting leaves 6 points in 7 games, not bad;
etc….

You can certainly see the similarities between both teams. Pettersson {Gretzky}, JT Miller {Messier}, Hughes {Coffey}, Hronek {Huddy} Boeser {Kurri}, Demko {Fuhr}.
a huge diffrence between huggys numbers vs karlsons last year: karlson was a minus 24 and hughes is something like plus 15. I know plus minus doesn't tell the whole story , but except for the gaffe with puck here and there, quinn has been good away from the puck too.
