COME ON MAN, the media has been convicting people, without even having a trial, for years!!!
Just look at the George Floyd trial, the cops got screwed before even going to trial, now that the real evidence has come out, there is going to be a NEW real trial!!!
So anything is possible and Zadorov and Tanev would be a great fit for Toronto and they need them, plus the ticket sales will go through the roof!!!

Honestly critical thinking is all it takes sometimes.
Trieliving decides not to renew his contract to be the flames gm, and calgary's owner was so incensed by it he wanted to fully block trieliving from being at the draft floor.
The news that zadorov wants out also causes interesting ripples. I dont feel like that news will help Toronto get this guy. Millstein sending a message like that will send a bunch of teams calling to calgary. This will end up driving the cost up to aquire him. Couple that with the news also placing calgary in a place of weakness in terms of negotiations.
" hey we want zadorov we will give you a third round pick". If calgary says well we arent taking less than a second round pick, theyll get stonewalled. "Well, he's on his last year and clearly will not sign there, so it's the third, or he walks for 0."
Calgary does have multiple teams wanting his services, but the secondary issue is all of those teams are aware that zadorov will walk for 0 so they wknt be offering nlanywhere close to his value. They will need to make lemonade out of lemons to get the deal worked through.
All this to say the chances of calgary actually trading zadorov to toronto is unlikely, and they wont be quick about this either. If they pull the trigger now the other teams wont be able to drive the bidding higher. Its in calgarys best interest to play this zadorov situatin slowly
