I was at the game and I’ll say: he won’t have showed up on the scoresheet, but Jensen was an absolute bulldog in front of the net tonight – physical in the crease, taking sticks away, getting sticks in passing lanes, and just bullying guys off the puck behind the net. Absolutely awesome showing for him
I think this is the best coaching staff that the caps have ever had. The team is clearly not as talented as it was when we were winning president’s trophies, but Carbury and staff’s attention to detail and smart brand of hockey allows this team to compete with the best in the league. The team was slow to start the season but has been amazing at pushing pace, being defensively responsible, and even avoids turtling like we had in the Trotz days. It will be very exciting to see the future of this team as we continue to inject talent into the roster and the young players gain experience.
