Itā€™s unfortunate for Kane, who forced his way to play here and would probably love to stay, but itā€™s the right move for the team.

I donā€™t doubt Kane can put up some points, but heā€™s a redundancy in this lineup and a risk to sign. If the Rangers are looking for a top 9 winger to add more than Wheeler or Kakko, they need a younger, faster, cheaper player.

I donā€™t think they give up on Kakko just yet or do that to Wheeler after he signed such a great contract. No doubt this is a deadline decision for Drury.

Only one interested in an accused rapist was drury anyway

Is Kane not interested in NYR or is NYR not interested into Kane?

Good, let the old Ranger ways die. Keep moving forward.

Thank god. Donā€™t need him ruining our mojo again

With Kesler and Backstrom never being the same after hip surfacing, this is the right move. Weā€™ll be fine without him.

You know Drury is going to add the right pieces at the deadlineā€¦this time he wonā€™t have to deal with the Kane distraction. Love this for the team moving forward!

Makes sense. Even if Kane was the right move, now is the wrong time. Iā€™m confident nyr will make the right moves at the deadline.

Cool, so can this be the last post this season in this sub about this guy? Or do we still need 2-3 Kane posts per day from the 15 yr olds that joined the sub last week after they heard that the team ā€œfinally got good againā€ā€¦.

I wouldn’t have wanted Kane, but the team probably needs another scoring forward. Duclair is a UFA on an awful team that can slot in the Top 9. Wouldn’t be against getting Tarasenko again, too.
