By gawd! Is that Milstein’s intro music I hear? What! Zadorov from the top rope!

    Dudududuuuuuuuuu

Not great news but a big opportunity for Hirose, I’m excited to see what he does with an extended stint.

I wasn’t on the Zadorov train before but now I am.

I hope they give Wolanin and Irwin a shot. This will be the longest stint Hirose has been on and while I am fairly confident in him in limited minutes, some experience in the backend might be necessary. We can probably LTIR Soucy and bring them up?

Too bad Calgary won’t send zadorov our way

So the plan is probably to see what the depth can do, between Hirose and others we should be able to do it just fine.

If not, Zadrov is definitely a Canuck.

Not good, but injuries were always going to happen. If we can’t function without our third pairing D then we have far bigger problems.

This really sucks. He was steady Eddie for us, was hoping for 2-3 weeks

So what do we have to give up for Zadorov and/or Tanev?

And Myers missed the last two practices, as he is not on the ice this morning. We make fun of him but if both Soucy & Myers are out, we are going to be for some interesting times. Hirose/Juulsen/Wolanin for 1-2 months doesn’t exactly instill confidence. First real test of the season!

  10. Damn. Was only hoping Saucey would miss a few games.

  11. The silver lining is that it temporarily opens up enough cap space to re-sign Ethan Bear – should be healthy sometime next month

Get well soon Soucy. You’ve been a great addition and we can’t wait to have you back.

lol like he will ever read this but that’s what I’d say to him.

I’m not freaking out but injuries on defence were always going to be a concern because of how thin our depth is. This team has never been able to deal with any adversity for a long time and my impression is based on the new make up this season they will be okay.

2nd injury of the season, Soucy’s looking fragile

Anyone know what’s up with Brisebois? Haven’t heard any updates on him since he was hurt in camp.

I always assumed he was their preferred 7th D coming into camp given he fits the defensive mould or guys like Soucy.

  16. Poor Hirose. Always seems to get put in the worst possible position when he gets called up.

If they played him with Hronek he’d probably do great, but I assume they’re just going to lean even more on Hughes / Hronek now with these injuries as there’s just no one else available to realistically play with Quinn who has a right handed stick.

Someone feed Ethan Bear some stem cells IMMEDIATELY please.

This is actually the biggest reason why banking points early is crucial. The beginning of the season is when everyone is usually healthy.
Teams like Calgary and Edmonton who need to play catch up can end their season with one injury.
