This kid has the right attitude and things have been coming together for him lately. He’s got all the intangibles. What’s most impressive is how good he is defensively for a 19 year old. His ceiling is beyond Cooley’s people just have to be patient.

I love this kid so much, I know that things like “character” and “attitude” have become shorthand for “not very talented or skilled at hockey” but this guy seems like he isn’t taking anything for granted about the position he’s battled to get to in his life. Idk yet if Slaf is going to be the star winger that we so desperately want and need him to become but if he’s capable of it, it’s that attitude that will power him to reaching his potential.
I hope he never plays anywhere else but Montreal, no matter what he becomes. That’s my fucking 1st overall pick right there.
