J.T. Miller was benched for the final minutes of the second period in last night’s 5-2 Canucks win over the Predators. He responded in the early third period by drawing a penalty and then scoring on the ensuing power play.
This response showed Miller’s maturity and evolution as a player and leader.

He deserved to be benched; it's all about accountability. No doubt, he's a passionate player. He needs to tone it down a bit. He shouldn't have gotten a misconduct penalty if it weren't for his bantering towards the official while enroute to the box. Glad Tocchet put Miller accountable by benching him.

I think what happened was some calls were missed and Miller was angry. Tocchet I presume had benched him to calm him down from getting another penalty. He could see he was worked up. Nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. Responsible coaching on Ricks part. Mind you I could be seeing this all wrong. Sort of insuring the win. He has been the loose cannon type.
Loved the fact that again tockett showing again that he will hold his players accountable and the players seem to accept that to heart so props to the team props to Miller embracing it
Watching the replay overseas Miller alright not fantastic He's Benched just Bad played stupid penalties he's takes I'm ok with it powerplay his yikes throw its up the middle and back down the ice issued time to put him on second unit 8 million was it a mistake resigned Him will still can trade Him years 2 or 3 Back checks needs to improved lazy most times
