  1. honestly philly does win the giroux trade if they resign him in free agency

  2. I hope Lindholm performs in Boston. Many people say it's an overpay but for me it's okay looking at the contract of Moore and Lindholm not being a rental.

  3. Imagine Gudas and Hagg on the same pairing, they are just gonna run over the league

  4. Floridas looking killer after the Chiarot and Giroux trades. And they got the cap space from Ekblad on LTIR to add some more great players. I’m low key rooting for them these playoffs.

  5. Pat Verbeek has done more for Anaheim’s rebuild efforts in a week than Murray did his entire tenure here. Well done

  6. Boston still didn't address the biggest problem: 2C. One more trade coming for them, I'd guess? Or just no more assets to trade?

  7. Apparently Giroux would only accept a trade to Florida because Fletcher wouldn’t promise him that he would be brought back next year. So that significantly diminished the package we got. We are in such a bad spot right now with arguably the worst front office in the league. It’s a tough time to be a fan

  8. Really happy Lindholm is in Boston. Once I saw the return I figured there would have to be an extension and The eastern conference playoffs are going to be very interesting.

  9. The Flyers didn’t really have a choice considering Florida was the only team Giroux wanted to go to.

  10. Florida definitly underpaid imo. If Lindholm got 2 second round picks (one of them being in next years deep draft), a first in this years draft, and two other guys i'm not usre of, the flyers definitly could have got more than a first, conditional 3rd, and tippet. I mean, I know that Giroux had his heart set on Florida as well, so that did make it harder, but it is unfortunate.

  11. In regards to the Desluarier trade. Giving up a 3rd is definitely an overpay. But two factors really offset that though from the Wild's point of view.

    1) Keep in mind that the Wild will very likely have 3 2nd rounders in this upcoming draft. The Wild's own 2nd rounder, the 2nd round compensatory pick given by the league for not signing 2018 1st round selection Filip Johansson to a ELC, and the asking price for Jack McBain's signing rights is a 2nd rounder. The interest in McBain is more than high enough that chances are good Guerin will get his asking price.

Giving up a 3rd, therefore, even if its next years, is less of an issue because of all this. Guerin can essentially afford to overpay in this instance.

    2) This move allows Foligno to more or less stay on the ice where he's needed. Versus having to do it all himself, as Desluarier can handle the bulk of that from here on out. Besides… having two of the best fighters in the league on your roster will go a long way to keeping players like Kaprizov, Fiala, and Boldy safe and protected.

This was a very smart pickup by Guerin. And as a Wild fan, I'm comfortable with giving up the 3rd given the circumstances involved.

  12. Great stuff! I am waiting to hear about the LA Kings, I don't think they are gonna make a short term deal, but I would love to see a young studly D-man like Chychrun come over, we have a good group, but they need to be better.

  13. I wonder what Dubas is gonna do with their goaltending situation since they put mrazek on waivers

  14. I’ve heard that giordano was just traded to Toronto not sure what’s going to Seattle yet

  15. i think the 3rd round pick for deslaurier is kidna fair tbh beccause most 3rd rounder and below dont make it into the nhl

  16. Although I agree with you that the Leafs need to do something in the next 24 hours because Florida, Tampa & Boston have, as a Leafs fan, I honestly don't give them much of a chance at beating Tampa or Florida in the first round whether they add a 1-2 pieces or not. I'd rather them do nothing than overpay for couple players and then be out in the first round anyway. I just hope that someone picks up Mrazek today off of waivers because he's been dreadful for the Leafs and we need his contract off the books.

  17. I honestly thought for the first twenty minutes the giroux trade broke out that it was 1 for 1 tippet for giroux

  18. Tippett looked nice today against the Islanders. I was hoping we'd get him+another player it's really sad seeing G go but I'll be cheering for him in the playoffs, hopefully he can raise the cup.

  19. Apparently Kakko might get traded, since the Rangers are kinda after Miller. Read that from some finnish news about Kaapo

  20. Tbh I think Deslauriers will be amazing for Minnesota. They are already a physical team and demanding to play against with Foligno, Greenway, Dumba, Duhaime etc. This adds more grit and man they will not be fun to play against on the playoffs. They'll wear you down over 7 games. They just need a goalie, maybe a 6th defenseman and they're set
