The cumulative points isn’t that important here. What you look for in prospects is game-to-game consistency, because it’s the better indicator of base production, and the better predictor of production at the next level.
Farrell had another 3-games points streak before. Then was blanked for 4 games, before this streak.
Same thing happened with Roy: points in 3 straight games, 4 games blanked, points in 3 straight games. So both seems to have the same peaks and valleys so far.
What you want is those valleys to be just 1-2 games at most and spread 5-6 at least games apart. That’s a more solid & reliable base than getting most of your points in a handful of games.
