Good for Larkin. Grew up in Michigan, plays for the Wings, and now gets to lead them as Captain. I'm an Avs fan but props are due here.
Season is starting today and I'm excited
So glad Larkin has been named captain. Give it the rest of this week, but can we please stop talking about it after that? Every press conference has to have a question about how the players are adjusting to COVID restrictions and when is Larkin going to be named captain. Let's focus on something else now.
Yandle and Iron man should never be used in the same sentence! I watched every Panthers game last season, it was obvious that Yandle knew about coming pandemic and was already practicing social distancing!

We will have to see how things work out but in my opinion being on the taxi squad is better than being sent down to the AHL (at least at the start of this season). I suspect that there will be a lot of players moving in and out of the team game day lineups. There's been a number of injuries during training camps and without any real preseason games it may be a rough start to the season (hope that I'm wrong though because I have missed watching some decent hockey).

I think that Casey Mittelstadt will eventually find a scoring role with the Sabres. The talent is there. He was too slow when he first started in the NHL and he didn't have to earn a role with the Sabres because the team traded Ryan O'Reilly without any back up plan. He looks to be much quicker this year. Give him some time in the AHL again with some earned games back in the NHL. Keep working hard Casey. Go Sabres.

As a Panthers fan who have watched every single game Yandle has played for this team I can only say that he's got the offense.
The rest is a shitty defenseman who can't defend the net from a beach ball. He's been extremely bad and slow on that part and together with Matheson caused a lot more damage to the team than they've done great.
So getting Matheson out and sitting Yandle.. could just be some of the best decisions in regards to fixing this defense. Finally fixing this defense that's been so bad since Yandle came in.
Wings are weak down the middle. Give up Bertuzzi and Velano and our 3 second round picks for Dubois. Go Larkin!
A lot of people don't know asymptomatic means no symptoms, no feeling any different. Some have the odd, weird idea that if you are asymptomatic you can have breathing trouble or cardiovascular shortcomings, which are symptoms.

As far as the Ducks go, its not really so much that Zegras and Drysdale arent ready. They've had a couple days of camp where as everyone else have been there since late December. They haven't had time to learn the system or build much chemistry with anyone. Neither has played with any one on the roster so its a super fresh start. They'll start in the AHL and get some games in to learn the system, and then see where the roster opens up.
