At 29 years old, Ryan Johansen had built a solid NHL career. But he couldn’t escape a feeling of emptiness, thinking there had to be more to life. Then he met Abbey. As they began dating, she invited him to church, a place he had never been in his life. Watching Abbey lead worship at church, “The Lord took over and I started balling my eyes out.” He suddenly knew, “This is where I belong.” At a conference a few months later, Ryan decided to get baptized, knowing he wanted to spend the rest of his life following Jesus.
