Learn the difference between forecheck and backcheck before watching this video. He is clearly showing a backcheck strategy by the Penguins. A 1-2-2 forecheck can transition into a 1-2-2 backcheck, but it’s odd to show obvious backchecking in the neutral zone claiming it’s forecheck. The goal of forechecking is offensive attack, not neutral zone turnovers and defense.
