The Minnesota Wild won their second game in a row by beating the New York Islanders 4-2 in New York Tuesday night. The Wild started the scoring 19 seconds into the game as Pat Maroon scored his second goal of the game, after the Islanders tied the score and took the lead in the second, Vinni Lettieri scored his first goal with the Wild to tie the score at 2-2. The Wild added 2 goals in the third from Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek to cap the scoring and Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves to seal the win. The Wild went 4/5 on the Penalty Kill and scored a Power Play goal in one of their most complete wins of the season. The Wild are at the New York Rangers on Thursday for their next game.

Can’t believe Clutterbuck is still grinding – it seems like he’s been playing since the 30’s. Islanders have talent but play a boring style of hockey.
What’s nice about the Wild’s schedule is they are blitzing through the Eastern Conference – early, as there seems to be a quagmire of talented teams every night and getting them off the schedule will be beneficial. Wild will be OK, getting 46 back will stabilize the backend even further.
The Wild now own the most goals for AND against in the central division. Good luck dissecting that one, im not touching it lol
But that said, I saw the line up sheet last night before the game, and it was the first time this season where I actually felt relief flood into my veins. The lines spoke for themseves, and it's finally clicking. 4 lines that can score, but also switch to 2 grindy lines when needed. All needles are trending toward the positives, and the Rangers on their ice will be the biggest test of the season so far. If we steal a point, ill be ecstatic.
My thoughts on today's show
The islander's, have taken lemaires playbook and play it very well, to score 4 is a accomplishment, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really liked Evasons matchups with eks line,now that's COACHING, next the right thing to do, is put Merrill on waivers,
San Jose or Edmonton would most likely pick him up, and then we can keep Hunt Mermis, as Hunt plays more
His confidence will grow, right now he's good on the boards and doesn't take any shit, he has some grit to him
I like him, next Gus the bus gas been
Shellshocked , it happens to all goalies
I'm sure there working with him and
He will get back to the Gus we all love
As Seth mentioned the refs, what is there to say, just string them up,
Next when Spergon comes back he completes this team, the chinks in the armor are fixed
With the lineup as is, I'm looking forward to Buffalo's game, as are new Super Line will shine, Seth good show

Nice win! I am still not sold on Rossi but I am definitely coming around. WAY too small of sample size but he is playing very well right now…. Mermis looked rough. It would be nice to have a timeframe on Freddy and Spurgeon but the NHL is weird about providing that info.
Anyway, Rangers tomorrow.
