I can’t figure out why Mermis would be on waivers. They’re in Sweden, he’s on the trip, he’s been playing well. Why?

My suspicion would be Goose &/or Freddie coming off LTIR & the team needing to trim payroll to be cap compliant again. Regardless, it sucks because Dakota was filling in pretty well.
