Miles Wood boarding on Jonas Siegenthaler – Tough Call Recommendation
Miles Wood is next in a long line of players who have driven opponents forcefully into the boards these days. It’s the explosion into contact that continues to create problems league wide.
Most players never seem to know how to hit. You let your speed, your posture and your preparation (eg: bracing yourself) provide the power. That's more than enough to power through a guy without having to push yourself upwards.
Small players like Jordin Tootoo and Tie Domi are usually masters of it, because they're not going to get much extra from pushing upwards (though both examples were guilty of doing it once in a while anyway). It seems it's always the bigger guys that do such a bad job of it.

How do you hit if you dont hit from your backfoot? (Eliteplayer woundering)
Btw clean hit
Siegenthaler have to brace himself for the hit rater then looking for stickchecking the puck
clean hit!
