  1. my question is, what would have happened if he came to the flyers? He's from a town right near Philadelphia and I'm not sure how it would have played out if he came to philly. As a flyers fan myself I would have loved to have him and it's a shame seeing his decline like this.

  2. As a Devil’s fan, I was initially pretty upset when Gaudreau initially posed as though he would sign here, only to abruptly change course. Now, I feel like the Hockey Gods, smiled upon the (then) lowly Devils, and saved us from further disappointment…..

  3. Mock trade for your entertainment:

    To CBJ: Johnathan Huberdeau

    To CGY: Johnny Gaudreau

  4. when interviewed after the draft, lainie said he thought he was better than matthews and should have gone first over all.

  5. Jackets never learn to avoid these high-priced players just because they suddenly become available. Drafting Nash 1st overall was one thing but remind me which star players on other teams have gone to Columbus and really succeeded?

Laine's been OK but nothing like he was in Manitoba. Seth Jones did well but was traded from Nashville before becoming someone the Hawks thought was worth 9.5 trillion a year. Gaudreau has flopped in Ohio despite leading them in points last year.

  6. Still love Johnny Hockey. We all know he’s capable of doing better than he has been. Hope the coach can unlock his greatness

  7. I went through the Line Ups and it isn't Gaudreau isn't the Problem, You fans are the Problem.
That is the Worse Line Ups I have seen since Sundin in Toronto
    Your Defense is Totally Wrong
I haven't seen a Game yet but I can tell You exactly where Every Player is by Your Line Ups and Your Stats.
Your Definitely Playing Euro Ice Soccer and NOT Ice Hockey.
That is Why your a Loser.

  8. Imagine if Calgary had bit the bullet and traded MT for picks and prospects how much better off they would be. When your two best players leave it is time to rebuild. Not sign aging Veterans to anchor contracts to replace the guys leaving. Something our Canucks should have done post Sedins.

  9. Goudreau ain't playing good… but that's what happens when u get a new coach during training camp!! All the summer prep was slashed due to the whole Babcock situation!! Last team to loose their coach during training camp was Colorado… and they had a 48 points season!! This one's primarily on management for me!! And he's barely 4 points out of being the best scorer of the team… and that says a lot!!

  10. As a CBJ fan, our biggest problem is goalie why don't we trade for Saros or John Gibson for Patrik Laine?

  11. This doesn’t spell the end of Gaudreau and Laine, it spells the end of Jaro and Vincent.
