    The Oilers are as likely to see playoff action as 2 seasons ago the Habs did, and those Habs finished rock-bottom of the NHL standings.

    I've been saying it for years how Edmonton is not a cup Contender just like Toronto Yea if Edmonton gets into the playoffs they can win a round or 2 but when they face off against Colorado Vagas Dallas they get caved in because once McDavid and Leon are shut down that's it they are cooked

    Edmonton fans always like blaming they goalies. You had starters like Dubnyk, Talbot, Koskinen, Smith, Campbell and Skinner. Except Koskinen and Skinner all goalies has been playing better outside of Edmonton, some been in Vezina finalists (Dubnyk and Smith) and Talbot been playing many strong season as starter outside of Edmonton. Koskinen and Skinner played only in EDM as starter (Koskinen had couple game in Islanders) Its impossible to goalies play well in Edmonton, when they play so offensive minded game and biggest stars dont bother to play defence zone game. Edmonton has hard time to get big free agent goalies, because they dont want to come in Edmonton, when they know they career would take huge step back and could end in there. Every goalie who comes to Edmonton play they worst hockey in there, and see they value going down. Edmonton gamestyle is fun to watch when its work, your stars make 120+ points, but when its not work, it not fair to always blame goalies.

    I wouldn't worry about losing mcCheezwhiz He'd have a hard time convincing someone to sign him unless maybe it was a third line 2 way contact till the end of the regular season but not too likely

    I am over the negative stuff now that the loss to the sharks actually happened, it almost feels like it needed to happen. This loss might reset the energy in this city and hopefully they get the monkey off their backs in Seattle. I say one more game like that and I have to stop watching, it is stressful and really sets a "Pissy" mood in the household lol.
