Controversial No-Goal for Ducks’ Silfverberg vs. Panthers



November 17, 2023: NHL’s Situation Room ruled that the puck never crossed the goal line on a potential game-tying goal from Anaheim Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg.

  1. Between this and the Rangers goal against the Blue Jackets that they blew, it’s hard to say the officials/Toronto have no credibility. The NHL needs to implement direct responses to where they can confirm where the puck never crossed the line and where a whistle could have been blown. By the current logic you can claim a whistle can be blown at every faceoff or that the puck needs to show a foot of white ice between the goal line to be a goal. It’s ridiculous

  2. Between the horrible refereeing with the premier league and now the NHL The standards are dropping hard and bad

  3. The didn’t blow it, it’s intentional. Seven minutes they took to look at this. Every angle was conclusive. The Ducks got screwed by the NHL, plain and simple.

  4. I personally think hockey is fixed. These officials might be betting on this game. Maybe they should be investigated. Seems like they’ve been putting their thumb on the scale a lot lately.

  5. Not a goal. Sorry guys but it never crossed. I was able to watch this and distinctly see this. God knows we have seen a lot of bad, missed calls but this was not one of them.
