    Preseason I got slammed for saying that the Devils won’t be that good because their D and G are bad. They have the worst goalie tandem in the league and their D looks awful. Just rewatch Vesey’s goal. That looked like something we did last season.

    This game was almost like Laviolette was doing a playoff test. Past teams fell apart in games like this and looked like they had better places to be. Shesty will most likely be back to his elite level soon.

    They look this sharp and that’s without two key players, the Zibenajad absence and lack of 5 v 5 scoring. Kakko hasn’t been the puck possesion monster we’re used to but its early.

    Those hank years were built on teams with high levels of chemistry but lacked depth. This group has substantial depth and the chemistry. There’s like 67 games left in the season. Let’s give them time before we panic and let them cook a little more.

    The boys are buzzin! LGR!!!!!!!

    The current record despite Foxy and Chytil being hurt, goaltender injuries, and the team’s #1C being unproductive is ludicrous.

    There’s a definite next man up mentality on this team. Loved watching how psyched the team was late in the 3rd. The Devils played a strong 3rd and took the early lead. That was a mighty impressive comeback led by #10 who is just playing unreal right now.

This game tonight, on Rangers Hockey: *Obsessed. The Devils are always obsessed w/the Rangers.* But in reality, this episode should be known as, *A Resilient Way to Win.* This was a game that turned out to be a classic. Now, I know what you want, that’s the review.

    1st: The Rangers got off to a hot start like a warm loaf of Bread in the oven. Artemi Panarin,… IT’S A Power Play Goal! He passes the late, great, Rod Gilbert 15 straight! Fucking Right!!! Oh and “the greatest player ever according to the hockey media” scored. Although the whistle blew. But, it was a soft goal given up by Igor. Which was a trend in this period. Loved the Rangers response, that Sick Individual scored. The “Newest Dynasty in the NHL” responded. Ew.

    2nd: This was a goalie battle. Igor made saves. VV made saves. I was surprised that Vanecek made saves. He typically doesn’t make saves. Lots of rush chances which I believe plays into the Devils favor. But, Igor made a brilliant save on “the greatest hockey player from the greatest family ever” and it gave off a we aint losing vibe.

    3rd: This is where the Rangers will was tested. After giving up a goal early in the period, it felt like Groundhog Day Awul Ovuh Uhgan. The Igor chants began again. I’m surprised Devils fans weren’t chanting “Set For Life” But I guess they can’t spell or say that. But then, the hottest Bread in the New York Area strikes again. But the Rangers ended up getting the GWG from not only, That Sick Individual. A backhand. SCORE! JIMMY VESEY!!! Blake Wheeler nailed the empty cage to make 5-3.

    If you could say was that perfect hockey? No. But it was good-excellent if you like those nitty/gritty style game. Lav said it in the post, it wasn’t pretty or perfect. But, it’s will to find ways to win right now. I’m loving it, we’re all loving it, Laf’s loving it and Lav’s probably loving it too. But importantly, RANGERS WIN!!!! Against, “The Newest Dynasty in the NHL”. It was a humbling win. Treat it like that. If you want. This team continues to roll. Gotta keep it up.

    Rangers Oppie called in: He left two messages; 1st “Take in the Sheets. Two points in the bag”. 2nd to the Devils “Fuck you and have a nice day.”

    Huge win. Onto the Stars. For the Rangers get together.

    God this team has just been getting it done! This felt like a playoff game. (Ik we all love to joke about how much the devils care about us, but I think this rivalry is back in full swing, one of the best in the league and it felt extra good to beat them tonight).

    Thought we were the better team all night. Igor gave up 2 just plain bad goals in the first, chalk them up to rust, he was absolutely fantastic the rest of the game. Another trouba masterclass tonight, and fuck yeah vesey revenge game, let’s go Blake.

    Breadman does it again, what else is new? TROCH has been one of our best players this year man holy shit.

    Thought everyone had a great game tn, just a great job of lulling the devils into our type of game tonight, sticking with that, and just taking over that game in the 3rd.

    All around solid sun, 60 minute effort.

    Maybe I’m just wildly underestimating how fast the game moves but it feels like Vanecek should’ve been able to make a stronger effort on the Vesey winner. Seems like he gave up on it.
