[Russo] Evason on how to get Kaprizov (0 shots) going: “I don’t know. Same as we’ve talked about our starts, we’ve tried different things. He is such a game(r), a willing guy, competitor. It’s driving him as nuts as it is you and everybody else. He wants to help his hockey club.”

If we lose tomorrow, Dean’s ass better be left in Stockholm.

We’re not making the playoffs, so you sit his ass until he recovers properly.

  3. He is not skating like he did prior to the groin injury. This is affecting his ability to create chances for himself.

Russo is going hard after Kaprizov lately, and injury or not, he’s a liability right now. It makes sense to call him out when he just isn’t the same ice tilting player.

Dean let his hair grow out this season. Clearly something is wrong.

I wonder if Suter’s cross-check in the playoffs did more damage to him mentally than physically.

There was an article over the summer about Rossi that was talking about the skating camp he went to in the Cities, and Kaprizov was there showing off his edgework. There has been close to zero injury indicators with him this season outside of his one maintenance day.

Maybe it’s his groin or something physically that inhibits him, or maybe it’s in his head. The Wild need it figured out.

Team is undisciplined AF, and can’t get a generational talent going. New coach time.

  8. Kaprizov came into the game tied for 79th in the league for goals, and tied for 50th for points. Are people saying that the players with 27 points (he has 15) will come around eventually too? Are people saying that the players with 13 goals (he has 5) will come around eventually as well? He’s 4th on the Wild for goals, and behind Zuccarello for points. So are all of the players on the Wild ahead of him Super Stars, or is he just playing like an average top player among the team (his production in previous seasons doesn’t win games this season)?

He definitely isn’t playing like a Super Star among the league, and his $9M cap hit suggests that he should be better than at least one other player on the team at something. Turnovers maybe? It’s Thanksgiving week, “slow start” is becoming “bad season”. He did nothing to improve his stats again today.

“I don’t know” That seems to be his standard answer when it comes to questions regarding the powerplay, penalty kill, faceoffs, winning a playoff series, etc.

It really makes me wonder if guerin has lost this team with the re-signings. Some young guys were probably hoping for a more fast and dynamic team. The re-signings further the older generation grit first wild.

  11. Bloody Rossi Kap line changed the energy of the team. Not sure if they did that in Sweden?? But coach stopped it all of a sudden when it worked well and gave energy and won games then. Evason needs to go otherwise
