  1. I knew woodcraft wouldn’t last he is not the calibre that’s needed in the NHL. I didn’t like his coaching Waze from the beginning that’s just me but I knew eventually he would lose his job. He cannot coach that calibre of hockey and you can’t keep accountability on the team. It’s time to go should’ve started with Ken but that’s just me.

  2. You get rid of a winning coach because whiney princess players didn't get their crap together. This is bush league. Really stupid move.

  3. I am pretty sure they had one on one meetings with the rest of the team asking them questions and this stems off of that as well.

  4. The Oilers to the fanbase (for years): patience, patience, patience, you've got to believe things will improve. The Oilers to their coaches (who have been with the organization for years): well we know you got the team going and into the playoffs where they lost to the eventual SC champs x2, and the best players scored points at a pace we've not seen in decades, and the power play was the best in history, and you were the best team in the NHL in the second half of last season and your overall regular season winning percentage is 69%…but we've given you 14% of this season with injured players and things aren't going like we hoped, (notwithstanding consistently outshooting the opponents), so get out so we can replace you with an AHL coach with even less experience than you ever had as an assistant coach in the NHL and whose winning percentage at the AHL level is 48%

  5. The oilers can not lose tomorrow they got to prove to me that this change is gonna work they can’t lose I hate this so much

  6. I was one game out. Didn't fire him after the debacle in Shark land, but did so after their best game of the season. Lol. How very Oiler.

  7. Definitely the answer. More McDavid buddies. Especially an OHL coach, who never even sniffed the calder cup.

This franchise is garbage. It's really about time to take off the bias goggles, and see it for what it is.

Going from "the old boys club", to "mcdavid's club". I'm sure nothing but greatness awaits.

  8. Ken Holland’s 3rd coach because of bad goal tending and defence.

  9. Holland just proved he has been the problem all along……woody can only play who he gets provided by the Master Dumpster Diver……Holland. Who’s gonna come here now…..once they hear…”when the chickens stop laying eggs…..we shoot the pigs!” In Edmonton.

  10. Not a mistake in letting Woody go. Too much tinkering with lines and D, too touchy feely with players. Needed a tough manager willing to hold players accountable. Big roll of the dice in picking Knobby over someone with NHL experience. Let’s hope it pays off. Exciting times. Get behind the team. New era.

  11. Btw… stop freaking out about Holland. His role has been reduced & his contract is over after this season. He’s effectively gone. Jeff will make future deals.

  12. When are we going to start blaming individual players instead of individual coaches. How many coaches in the last decade? Jeez! I wonder if there was a huberdeau in our locker room pushing for a coaching change… ?!

  13. I have a trade to tickle everyone's fancy. It's a 3 way deal Campbell Brown Cece Borgo and Mcload to San Jose. In return from Philly heart ❤️ frost and a 3rd and 4th round draft picks

  14. Same thing happened to Boudreau in Vancouver. Woodcroft knew it was probably his last game. You could tell at the end of yesterday’s game. He seemed so dejected even though they won.

  15. Must be a few kiddie’s 1️⃣st rodeos…

He lost the room & part of it’s on him & his staff. This is a BUSINESS, 1️⃣st & foremost…good coaches lose their jobs all the time, in this scapegoat/millionaire player, tag team game.

Holland’s trying to buy time, but the players are forcing his hand, from a worst case position of vulnerability. He’s blundered trades/signings & valuable cap space, with time becoming his biggest enemy.

Nothing seasoned fans don’t already know…not a fanboy/cheerleader, been following them since the WHA, including a Dynasty season ticket.
