Obviously we want Kakko to excel and be the best player possible. I do believe if Kreids and Mika were playing to normal standards via 5v5 Kakkos numbers would be better. Not blaming them for his lack of numbers but just saying

Mika should be getting line 3 minutes. He is average at best. Mid top line C at best. Terrible contract. Never a chance at a Selke, enough of the smoke being blown up asses.
Kakko needs to wakeup or walk out.

I'll be surprised if Kakko is still with the Rangers after the trade deadline. Now, had he started more like Lafreniere did, it's another story.
Agree that Gustafsson is likely pricing himself out. Not too worried about Quick holding anyone back; Levi and Wolf are highly-touted and as of right now they're no great shakes. Yet.
I'm doubling down: Kakko and Cuylle are gonna start cooking it's gonna be awesome.
Kakko is a good player, he won't command the kind of money that one might think a #2 in the draft should get but it's so early in the season, he's good but let's wait and see what kind of a season he has.
Kakko is a good two way player and that is all he will ever be. He does not have the scoring touch and has always struggled for points. I mean the diff between him and J Hughes the guy picked one above him is absolutely staggering. He is a very young player so there's that hopefully he is a late bloomer. Pitlick, Wheeler really need to be upgraded.
Kappo is sound defensively, in the midst of his offensive woes,he is still someone the coach trusts defensively,still very young, I think he'll be fine, I would be surprised if they moved him

Keep Flaapo on the 3rd line and pay him his 2 million and chalk it up as a failed draft pick. Dude is invisible pretty much every single game offensively.
