Rasmus Dahlin carries the Sabres in Chicago

The Sabres did not play well, again, in Chicago on Sunday night, following a loss in Winnipeg. HOWEVER, this time the team was able to pull out the W, thanks in large part to a superhero performance from Rasmus Dahlin. Sneaky Joe breaks down what Dahlin did that was so dominant. Plus, another solid game from Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

And Zach Benson is making it impossible for the Sabres to send him down.

  1. Why package UPL when you can just send Levi down to Rochester to get literally every start possible? Stop forcing the Levi thing to happen if he's not ready. He's 21. Let him get games in the AHL and develop/transition into the NHL.

  2. Benson just has a way of being around the puck and making plays. We need this badly. I believe both Benson & Ryan Johnson are here to stay. Nice to see the Sabres adding additional layer of youth to the active roster.

  3. Did Joe say Dahlin has elit finish? He has 4 goals. Dahlin isn't even the best defenseman in that draft. Quinn in Vancouver is putting Dahlin to shame. Once again the Sabres don't get the best player in the draft and they are picking first. Dahlin has more bad games then good games this year. The bar is set so low in Buffalo. Dahlin was supposed to be a generational player. Does anyone out there think he is. He has underachieved so far in his career. Finally Joe you see how lousy this team is playing again. They will when a few games when they are long out of the playoffs and there is no pressure. This will be another let down this season to add to the last twelve. At least they are consistent

  4. I think theres a plan here with benson. similar to power. they see a player that will be good for along time in the league. they can burn a year of his contract early on, he'll put up smaller numbers this yr and they can resign him to longer term extension on the cheap. might be thinking into it a bit much, but seems like the new approach.

  5. WGR democrats don’t like Twitter or the truth, they liked Twitter when it was owned and ran by their buddies who suppressed free speech

  6. I actually believe that UPL and Comrie can hold the weight, send Levi to the AHL let him get games and build his confidence

  7. Here’s where we are in regard to UPL. Either accept that UPL has FINALLY figured his game out and we should trade Comrie. OR trade UPL while his stock is currently elevated and before his stock has a chance to tank again, making him farther untradable.

  8. They are bad…again. Must be nice to not have to imagine what it’s like to watch and support a good team.
