  1. When you just read an article about Laine, and then think " i wonder if the hockey guy has said anything yet about Laine?"

Boom video posted 8 minutes ago 😂

  2. Honestly, I think he would benefit from going somewhere like Tampa, where he can relax and be allowed to just play without insane expectations while recovering his confidence.

  3. He’s sure showing us that he really was the proper first overall pick eh. 😂😂😂 trash.😊

  4. As a Jets fan, I don't feel bad for him. His ego was too fragile in Winnipeg and that led him to being traded. He has all the potential to be a generational goal-scorer but he's struggles are HIS fault, no one else's.

  5. Blue jackets are treating all the guys they signed to huge contracts like shit, no good players will ever sign there long term again.

  6. Same with Huberdeau …. As it turns out, playing with Barkov is pretty good for ones offensive stats

  7. Laine has had such a strange career. For his two first seasons, it looked like he was just as good, if not a better goal scorer than Matthews. Then we just slipped and it all went downhill from there.

  8. His attitude is the biggest problem, when things dont go his way, he has his head down and just quits.

  9. Laine possesses the best right handed shot in the game. There’s a place for someone like that no doubt, but it’s not on a bad team where he’s expected to carry the load. Put him on a team like Pittsburgh or Vegas or Colorado and he’ll score 40 with his eyes closed. Bad fit in Columbus.

  10. He is being grossly misused in columbus. Trying him at centre? Has he ever done that at the nhl level? He obviously has some major deficiencies in his game and his work ethic has always been in question, but Columbus literally does not have any competent centres other than jenner (who definitely should not be playing first line). And because of this they now have to put a huge load fantilli and Johnson when they are just not ready yet. All that adding they did last year, and they still have a massive hole down the middle. Im not saying that the only reason hes playing badly is because he doesnt have a great centre on his line, but it is clearly affecting the team and laine as well.

  11. I have never liked him. I think he is very arrogant, especially in Finnish interviews. I remember he was part of this "super youths" line with Puljujärvi and Aho, they were supposed to be next Selänne etc. I feel like only Aho has shown his potential out of the bunch.

  12. I said this when he was still in Winnipeg, he has no heart or work ethic. When things are going well he’s happy. When things get hard, he quits. Won’t try to outwork a slump like most guys. He’s lazy, always has been. He got called out for it in Winnipeg and he’s never been able to recover from being found out. Guy has talent, just no drive. Too bad because he could’ve been one of the greatest of all times. Now he’ll just be a flash in the pan. Maybe time to go home and see what happens there.

  13. I’m a Leafs fan. If we had drafted Laine over Matthews, I believe it would have forced us to play Marner at his natural C position. A first line of Laine-Marner-Nylander looks like a lot of fun. It would have probably meant we don’t trade Kadri because we don’t sign Tavares and would not be able to afford losing Nazem. In short, I think we’re a better team with a better cap structure with Laine than Matthews. Similarly, Matthews would have had Kyle Connor to feed and would have allowed the Jets to play Scheifele at 2C. They probably win that Cup in 2017 or 2018.

  14. This may be a hard request to fulfill…can you look into established NHL players asking for trades. Established because young players may ask for trades just to get a chance to play in the NHL or get more ice time. Just wondering if there is percentage-wise, more asking out of Canadian teams.
