  1. I'd like to see Timmins be given some runway. Whatever his defensive liabilities may be…they're not as bad as Klingberg's. Robidas Island could be his destination

  2. All this talk about Calgary made me look at their roster and man it's not hard to see why they are in so much trouble. 21% of their cap space is taken up by Huberdeau and Kadri who each have 12 points (tied for 121st in the NHL) and both have many more years left on their deals. Anyway, Zadorov and Tanev are indeed UFAs but I'm a little surprised there isn't more interest in the Flames other UFA D man, Noah Hanifan? I realize the Leafs are in win now mode, but Tanev is 33 and has never been an offesnive threat(28 points most in a season) and makes 4.5 mil. Zadorov, with his size definitely makes sense, and at 3.75 mil is priced right, but again is only a 20-point per season player. Hanifan is a 50-point player who can play on the PP and has not missed many games due to injury in his career– 6 of 8 seasons he's play 79+ games.

I think we have to remember what Toronto was looking/hoping for from Klingberg? A guy who can step into PP and take some pressure of Morgan Reilly. So, while Hanifan is the most expensive at 4.95 mil I think he checks most boxes. If they can add both Hanifan and Zadorov….now we're talking serious impact to the team in many facets. All this down time with the extra travel means more GM-to-GM trade talk time. And I know it's easy to second guess the Klingberg signing, but I still think it made sense at the time.

  3. Kingsburg deserves a chance…remember a high ankle sprain is nothing to sneeze at…also playoffs are a whole different animal

  4. Zack nice stash looks good on you what’s your opinion what it would take for the leafs to,acquire both zadorov and tanev

  5. THAT WAS KLINGBERG'S PLAN ALL ALONE, SINCE HE LEFT DALLAS, WHICH IS ANOTHER REASON WHY THE LEAFS SHOULD AVOID PATRICK KANE, THESE PLAYERS COME TO TORONTO TO CASH IN ON THEIR RETIREMENT!!!
