I think this is what darryl meant about the young kids is you can’t rely on them to be at the same level as the regular NHL’rs . Higher pace, more skill etc. its good for them to be in and out and build up to it

Sitting Zary? Really? Guess that’s one way to prove he’s the straw that stirs the drink.
He was benched for a while in the third period last game. Wonder if there’s something Huska didn’t like there.

The best guys in the AHL are about as good as the average 4th liners in the NHL. It’s entirely possible that he is still adjusting physically and mentally to the NHL, is a little banged up and just needs a break. He was not benched the way huberdeau was last week, the bench was just shortened because that’s what you do in a game like that. Last year people bitched constantly about Sutter having Lucic out there with 2 minutes left down by 1.
No way Zary is in the dog house. He’s a young a guy getting what he needs from the organization to be successful long term.
