The hardest part of this though is that the Oilers are no longer a team of youngsters where emotions can be an excuse for losses, cup winning teams know how to keep their emotions in check. They need help getting out of their own heads somehow. This is almost the exact same team as last year, but without any of the confidence.

I hate to hate but man this guys defensive play is shocking. Especially in that defensive zone. There has been ar least 10 times in the last few ganes hes just floating around the D zone handing that puck over.
This team has been saying the words "we have to learn from this" for like 6-7 years…saying the words doesn't do anything, maybe try putting in the work…I know, crazy concept right…what is even crazier is that they won't do anything differently or make any effort to play better defense and yet, they won't know why things keep going bad for them.
Maybe they should try firing the coach, that's a good trick.
What makes you successful in the early going? Did he just say that’s when at all has this team been successful, not in the early going, not ever yet 🤦♂️
Thanks for holding out during negotiations to get every dollar you could. New contract was worth every penny for a dman who doesn't/cant understand defense.
