  1. Washington has a lot of salary cap space opening up with Backstrom's retirement and Mantha being UFA and Kuznetsov likely gone very soon…they need a bridge superstar who can produce in the final Ovechkin years and be the guy in the next couple years after. Sandin is already in Washington and obviously his dad played there.

  2. it was kinda distrespectful in 2016 when they made that team globalist, like the people from the countries represented would care.
i dont understand what is so difficult brining in germany, slovakia, switzerland etc. stop trying to manufacture results. if you are serious about 'GroWinG tHe gAmE", it should include countries that arent necessarily there to realistically win gold.

  3. I believe the Toronto price was set for the best player at 13+ million last summer. Nylander is the best player on the Leafs.

  4. Every country that has at least 5 players in the NHL should be represented in the World Cup. Add in Swiss, Czech, Slovakia and then you'd have a better tournament.

  5. Nylanders salary is redicilous. Marners too but on the other way. Nylander should go to a contender. But Nylander is the only forward who is tough enougj to score in the play offs

  6. Nylander is box office. No way he plays third rank on any team. He’s gonzo. Top 3 market in the US

  7. I really wish Leafs Lunch wasn't cancelled. I don't even tune into TSN radio anymore because 12:00pm is the only time I get to listen in.

  8. That's an easy one, he's playing for that 12 to 13mil payday, which the leafs won't be able to afford, so they're going to lose him in the off-season for nothing because they're a 2 line team that will be out in the first rd. 99% of their points have come from the top 6, Toronto is a 2 line team
