Honestly feel pretty good about that period. Feel like we’re decently outplaying them just getting out goaltended a bit. Should be able to crack Hellebuyck at some point if they keep pushing
15 shots again in the first period but we’re down.
Goaltending and defense both killing us.

just eyeballing the standings, only the following teams have a d-corps + goaltending combo i’d be comfortable with in the playoffs: boston, vgk, nyr, dallas
avs/njd/edm/tor have suspect goaltending, idk how long talbot for LAK can hold up, and same for jarry for the pens. not sure about florida yet but they’re good so far, and canes are a little bit off defensively rn.
idk, i’m kinda coping by comparing tb’s pretty mediocre defense to other teams, but i really think teams as a whole are struggling to defend so far this year. there just doesn’t seem to be many standout tendys this year with vasy out and price gone and rask gone and sorokin stuck on a declining isles team and on and on
