13 years in the league and only finding “calmness” in his game now lol

I think I’d be on Xanax if I was a pro.

Hughes looks like he’s on it, can have defenders barring down on him at the blue like and he’s cool as a cucumber

Only 12 PIMs on the year too, can’t call him Tyler Minors anymore

He’s actually been pretty good so far this season, probably the best stretch he’s played as a Canuck

Instead every giraffe there are two wolves…

  7. Tocchet said in the postgame Monday the talk in Nashville was pretty much about calming his game down and being the 4th guy on the rush and not leading it. Since then I actually don’t think I’ve seen him lead the rush often or even at all so he definitely took it to heart. At least he’s coachable

Finally some respect on this man’s name!

Tochett deserves the Jack Adams for this turnaround alone.

I knew he had it in him. I was about the only person defending him last year and am really happy that it’s working out for him, the team and for us!

I don’t think this has been a thing on /r/canucks but some of you will know about this:

I officially request Tyler Myers as my pet. I promise to clean up after him, keep him fed and groomed and to the games on time.

  11. I’d welcome this Myers back (on a cheaper contract)

Everyone loves to rip on Myers and for the most part he earns his criticism. But I have to say its awesome watching him play well. If you want your team to make a run in the playoffs you need everyone to elevate their play and Myers has done that. I hope he keeps it up.

Myers has always been a guy who has the tools but no toolbox. That’s why he panics on the ice because he has no idea how to read plays and he is always reacting instead of reading.

With a structure in place, Myers can thrive since he no longer has to react as much. He knows what to do and he can position himself accordingly. It’s only when plays start to break down he goes back into panic mode.

I was really hoping they’d mention Chaos Giraffe or at least Chaos in the article. What a wasted opportunity.

Shall we dub him Serenity Ostridge
