  1. 6 to 5, that’s man advantage and they still couldn’t get it done, Hughes is lucky he didn’t get called for interference on that blue line.

  2. Pettersson line needs to step it up. Kuzmenko hasn't been looking the same since he got that extension…

  3. The reality is that the Canucks have had a very easy schedule so far. Only 5 games against teams currently in the top 10 (2-2-1) and 10 games against teams currently in the bottom 10. (5 vs teams in the bottom 3) Demko also starting to play like normal Demko in his last 5.

  4. The Canucks passing was off tonight and even their shots on net weren't getting through. The Avs did a good job keeping our players on the outer perimeter and they were just faster on the take away. I'm still on the fence with a couple of the new additions ..Cole especially.

  5. Demko stayed way more composed than I would of after that breakaway goal. You see him smack his stick against the post in frustration. I pull a JT Miller and smack my stick on the crossbar or post 😂 props to him

  6. Canucks did have a good compete level I thought, but the Stanley Cup champs were highly motivated after a bit of an embarrassing loss to Nashville, and that extra motivation to win definitely exposed some weaknesses on the Canucks who have quite a few slumping players at the moment as well as a few injuries. I knew going into the game that this was going to be a REALLY hard game for the Canucks to win… all of the signs were there. It's hard to play at that elevation at the best of times. The game WAS closer than it looked as well, after going down early in the third period the Canucks had to start taking some chances to try to get back on even terms, and that's when a highly skilled Avs team was able to seal the deal. I thought some absolutely horrific reffing made the game practically unwatchable at times, and fans of both teams were upset. I think Pettersson might have a cracked rib or something.. he's been like a zombie version of himself out there the last several games. Not sure if it's a mental thing with Demko, but he's been letting in way more softies recently as well. I thought that Makar breakaway was one he'd have easily had when he's on his game. Tough because he's been one of the best goalies I've ever seen the last few years. Ultimately, I'd like to see the Canucks take this as a bit of a wakeup call that they can't just rely on the good start they had.. they need to actually get better if they want to win these kinds of games against the top teams.
