On this week’s HI/O Show with host Jessica Rusnak of CBC DayBreak, our panelists — Montreal Gazette sports columnist Stu Cowan, former Canadiens defenceman and assistant coach Rick Green and Andrew Berkshire of SDPN Sports — discuss Martin St. Louis’ characterization of his team as “soft” following Saturday’s loss to the Bruins.
The panel also weighs in on what Arber Xhekaj’s absence means to the team, battling inconsistency during a rebuild, Jayden Struble getting his chance to join the Habs and how long-term injuries have tarnished another Habs season and forced changes to the team’s defence pairings.

What do you expect? They are young and rebuilding. Even slaf hes huge but hes still young.. he needs to gain age and grow. As they get older they can sign toughness and they have another wifi.
Very soft.
French players are as soft as they come. We always seem to have a few of those….
David Savard, Jordan Harris, Rafael Harvey Pinard, Wifi, Dach, all out with injuries, blocking shot, hitting, fighting for the puck, etc. They're not soft… They're young, they played against one of the best team of the league. I don't see them as soft but I see them as a bit too small. It's why Caufield is struggling so much at 5v5. Lack of reach, lack of space, etc. I don't see them as soft though.
