Coach… sometimes in todays game you have to adjust your Forecheck to later set up your D-Zone exits how you want them to be managed, sometimes you must take a path of more resistance for greater future gains. We have to be more proactive and anticipatory in our tactical thinking. Like letting the wrister go hard and off the wrong foot. You dont really need the Mule-kick in the process but it somehow lends itself to success. Kris you will soon find you need to manage all 3 zone focuses independently and on-the-fly as the Top Teams Systems now do autonomously ….like 3-D Chess…… not traditionally one at a time in sequence as you are now doing so well. You have to start adding Mule-Kicks to your zone focuses.

I hate that they fired Jay. Manson okay need a shake up on the back end. However Coffee was NOT the answer. He was an offensive defenceman and he’s getting everyone to “activate” but our forwards don’t back check! I think Leon and Connor were a -7 tonight. Coaching matters even with elite players. Just look at Vancouver and what Tocchet is doing over there. They didn’t make any huge free agent signings and they are miles ahead of the Oilers now, but last year they looked like the Oilers of this year!
The oilers are the laughing stock of the league, going from having four or five players in the top ten to the bottom of the league, time to shake it up again and fire the gm.
It took Jeff Jackson a grand total of what, 2 months, to destroy this team. 😆

This is an absolute gong show of a season, and that's putting it mildly. When McDavid and Draisaitl leave for greener pastures, this fan base should really be supportive of them. There is zero chance I would tolerate this garbage, and would have demanded a trade by now, if I were either of them. Likely why I never became a pro athlete.
It speaks to their patience, and professionalism though, that they are wiling to continue on this train wreck of a team. Best wishes when you finally escape Edmonton, Connor and Leo.
Ya, sorry, but the Knob experiment, is already a colossal failure. He didn't even get the "new coach" bump in wins. They won 2 games that were pure luck, and should have lost, and after that, the reality set back in real fast.
This team needs new ownership, new management, a roster overhaul, and to bring back their winningest coach ever.
Will those things happen? No. So, polish up those 9 irons, boys. It's gonna be an early golfing season this year.
I'll never give up on this team; however, they are now entering slapstick comedy territory… like, its becoming laughable how quickly it all derails in these games. One little mishap and they cannot recover mentally and get back in it. I'm choosing to laugh and not get annoyed so I can at least still enjoy watching these games. At the end of the day, its entertainment after all.
