[Meltzer] Torts has said, at various times going back to camp and just recently again, “We have a young blueline.” But that’s not really accurate. If Zamula isn’t playing, York is the lone young D in the starting six. Andrae is back in Allentown.

Is this his defense for starting Staal? I think I’d rather have Risto than Torts.
Bet Bill didn’t have the bottle to actually day that to him though.
Remember folks, it’s a rebuild. That is why we are on the verge of having a single U25 defenseman in the lineup once Staal and Risto are healthy.
What a shocking revelation from Meltzer. Team with no significant defensive prospects does not have many young defensemen in the lineup. Who would’ve thought?
Just more evidence how far this team is from actually being Cup competitive. We essentially haven’t even started building our blue line, and somehow there are people who already want to declare the rebuild over.
