The NHL has suspended Senators RFA Shane Pinto for 41 games for betting on sports. The first suspension of its kind in the NHL. The Senators are now faced with the challenge of having to make up the cap space to sign Pinto pre or post-suspension. This suspension could lead to the NHL cracking down on more gambling suspensions in the NHL from other players around the league, or use this suspension as a warning for others around the league.

just about every competitor I know gambles. But they do it through their friends when they reach college level
