  1. Great trade. What?… So this hasn't happened? Very confusing. I'm not really caring. Oh. that is rumor, too!

  2. Monty for Xavier is a horrible trade for the Habs why would they even consider making that deal lol. Edmonton is desperate, Habs have all the leverage and don't need the trade as much as the Oilers do.

  3. They are ruining the career of drai, mcdavid and nuge. They need to just trade em and rebuild if they miss the playoffs

  4. Oilers bakersfield goalie has better sv% than Wallstedt. Dont need him 😂 Oilers need an established NHLer. Not an AHL goalie

  5. as an oilers fan since the whl i blame our GM not the good coach he just fired. OMG we are wasting Mc/Drai with him as our GM. Get any other GM and we win

  6. In the 2019 draft, the Oilers passed on drafting winger Zegras for defenceman Broberg. In the 2021 draft, the Oilers passed on goaltender Wallstedt for winger Bourgault. In 2023, the Oilers signed Connor Brown because they were in need of another top six skilled foward. Since Campbell, Brown, and Broberg have all struggled, the Oilers are now looking for goaltenders, wingers and defencemen. Problem is that Holland traded away a lot of draft picks so the cupboards are empty. Plus Holland put Edmonton into cap hell. There really might not be any way out but another ten year rebuild.

  7. I think it's going to be multiple players going to Edmonton & prospects plus multiple picks coming back maybe even Campbell 🤔

  8. LOL Trade would be a joke, Monty isn't bringing Edmonton to the playoffs. And he sure as heck isn't a cup contending Goalie.

  9. I've been saying that about Wallstedt for years. Imagine if they drafted Wallstedt and used Campbell $ on defense. The entire franchise took a wrong turn that day.

  10. What usually happeens when the coach gets fired, new coach doesn't produce different results, whos next? The irony of this is nearly at a 'whimsical' level for me. Unreal.

  11. Holland needs to step down. Put this horse out to pasture. Time for someone different to give it a shot .

  12. You don't put yourself in a good trade position, if every one knows you are desperate to get a goalie now!

  13. The ONLY chance that both Leon & McDavid will re-up with EDM was if they AT MINIMUM went deep in the playoffs this year but given the fact that they do NOT look like they can even make the playoffs at Thanksgiving leads me to believe that next season will be the LAST SEASON with the two stars with the Oilers will be together… So expect them both to be traded in the next 2 years!!!

  14. Honestly nobody really brought up the fact that Edmonton passed on Wallstedt because they were focused on Skinner. Now that they are in this postition I am glad its being noticed because good ol Ken Holland is the issue with the Oilers imo
